About Me.
When I realized I had no chance to play for the Boston Red Sox, I wanted to make a career covering them. But with journalism jobs being hard to come by in 2007, I started out covering local government. And it was love at first sight. I am currently part of the investigative team for WFSB (Rocky Hill, CT), the highest rated news team in Connecticut. I previously worked for the Record-Journal (Meriden, CT), as the capitol reporter and then as an editor. I also hosted and produced a daily podcast for the RJ. Prior to that, I also worked for the Journal Inquirer (Manchester, CT) and Chronicle (Willimantic, CT), covering a range of beats that included cops, courts, higher education, and numerous towns across central and eastern Connecticut. As my love for my job has grown, so has my passion for the industry as a whole. Now, I want to advocate for my colleagues, helping them give their communities the kind of reporting the public deserves. I also love fighting for transparency, challenging public agencies when they wrongly withhold documents or shut out the public from meetings. EDUCATION
